Not Even Donald Trump - Hillary Clinton's Foreign Policy Record and Intentions

 Dear Hillary Clinton,

I hope this finds you well. I am an Australian who has been following Foreign Policy closely for the past several years, and I wish to explain to you - and to the American people - why I believe you should not be President of the United States of America.

My reasons are not economic, nor are they associated with your domestic policy. My reasons why I believe you should not be President are purely due to your Foreign Policy record and intentions.

Let me start with your decision on the Iraq War. You said and I quote: "This is probably the hardest decision I've ever had to make. Any vote that might lead to war should be hard. But I cast it with conviction."

You made this decision in 2002, and if you had made a mistake in voting for the Iraq War, this may be forgiveable.

However, in 2011, 9 years later, you pushed and pushed for the overthrow of Libyan President Gidaffi and, due to your high level position as Secretary of State, you were able to your influence to convince President Obama to overthrow Gidaffi.

Look at Libya now. Do not tear your eyes away from it, as most of the world is doing. It is becoming the exact same mess as we are seeing in Iraq.

Did you not know that the Libyan people are a proud people? Did you not realise the Libyans would not be willing to receive as much help as you were willing to give? If you did not know, then why were you Secretary of State? And if you did know, why did you overthrow Gidaffi? Why did you make it your business to involve yourself in a conflict that had no threat to United States' interest?

Your incompetent decision - either incompetent, or corrupt - has given terrorists across the world a valuable safe haven in Libya.

Now let me turn to your recent arguments. You have said you support a 'no-fly-zone' in Syria to stop Assad, the President of Syria, massacring Syrians, all the while attempting to degrade and destroy ISIS in Syria.

This Foreign Policy decision would be worse than your previous two decisions. If Assad leaves Syria now, ISIS or Al-Qaeda would control the country. There would be massacres of Christian minorities, of Alawite minorities and of Druze minorities, and Israel would be threatened - not protected - not its Syrian border.

Not only so, but do you honestly expect Russia to support a 'no-fly-zone' in Syria? The 'no-fly-zone' you propose goes completely counter to Russian interest, threatens to shoot Syrian and Russian planes from the sky, and possibly escalate the conflict into the beginnings of a world war.

Not even Donald Trump would make such a foolish error of judgement.

I believe that you, Hillary Clinton, do not have American interest at heart. It is my belief you would rather overthrow dictators than fight the war on terror. Both wars cannot be fought at once. The war for democracy must wait until the war on terror is won.

If you cannot understand this fact, then it is my belief you do not deserve the Presidency. Either change your poisonous foreign policy attitude, an attitude which has caused - and would cause - utter chaos in the Middle-East, or withdraw from the Presidencial election.

I hope you would reconsider your foreign policies. If you do not, Al-Qaeda, ISIS and something worse may be the only legacy you leave behind for the Middle-East.

Khizr Khan Criticizes Donald Trump and shifts America's focus

Khizr Khan criticized Donald Trump in a speech he gave at the Democratic National Convention – the irony of it all is that his son was an American casualty of the Iraq War who was a Muslim.

Unfortunately, in choosing Muslim parents of a casualty of the Iraq War to speak at the Democratic National Convention, Hillary Clinton is clouding the issues with her foreign policy completely. In tugging on the heart-strings of Americans, she neglects to mention that her vote on the Iraq War was what cut Khizr Khan’s son’s life short: it is her hands which are stained with his blood.

Hillary Clinton, though choosing a moderate Muslim couple to speak at the democratic convention, has done far more to strengthen terrorism and radical Islam in the Middle-East than support families like the Khan’s. Afghanistan, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Syria – these countries have all been damaged by Hillary Clinton’s reckless decision-making, and it has only been other regional players that have decreased terrorism in the region, such as Saudi Arabia and U.A.E. in Egypt and Russia in Syria.

How many Khizr Khans are suffering in the Middle-East today because of Hillary Clinton’s bad judgement and poor decision-making? The answer is there are thousands. More than Americans can comprehend.

What Clinton fails to understand is that for many Muslims on the Sunni side of Islam, the Iraq War was an ultimate betrayal by the West on the Arab people. A functioning secular government ruled by Sunni Muslims – which also resisted Israel – was handed over to sectarianism, terrorism and killing of many peoples and minorities. Out of this war spurned ISIS, and many Sunni Muslims were so mistreated by the Iraqi government she helped impose, they willingly joined ISIS’ ranks.

Clinton does not understand that a true Sunni Muslim – true according to the Islamic texts of the Qur’an and Hadith – would withdraw from the American military rather than engage in a war that would strengthen Sunni Muslims’ enemies – Iran and Israel. Israel has strengthened ties with other adversaries of Iran, such as Saudi Arabia, and Iran has gained yet another ally in Iraq, adding to Iran’s considerable list of allies: Syria, Palestine and Lebanon.

Strangely, Donald Trump’s desire to temporarily ban all Muslims from travelling in America is exactly what is needed to stem terrorism in America. At the moment, it is near impossible to work out whether a Muslim is moderate or extreme – America should not willingly become like France or Belgium with no idea about what kind of Muslims live in their country.

Instead, many steps are needed in trying to figure out the extremists from the moderates. Screening is needed, as well as moderation of mosques and working out who is paying for what Islamic institutions – some nations who fund these do so because they wish for terrorism to spread across the globe.

The speech made by Khizr Khan clouds and distorts the kind of war Donald Trump wishes to fight: a war on radical Islam, not a war on Muslims. In framing Donald Trump as a heartless monster who does not care about the plight of his son, Khizr Khan has done his son’s memory no favours. Khizr Khan has strengthened the candidate who will make things worse for Muslims in the Middle-East and cause many other parents – American and Arab alike – to lose their children.

Khizr Khan, my heart goes out to you, and I know that my words are unkind. But I am not sorry for what I have said. Remember your pain, and remember also that the candidate who will make your pain spread to other families is the candidate you supported at the Democratic National Convention.
Trump does not wish to fight wars on legitimate Middle-Eastern governments – Clinton does. Trump wishes to fight the war on radical Islam – all Clinton has done is grow and grow it. Your son is dead because of decisions senators like Hillary Clinton made in the Senate.
